Individual Voice Sessions
with Alessio Castellacci
If you're looking to deepen your connection with your speaking or singing voice, or simply want to explore a more intimate relationship with your vocal expression, I am happy to meet you for one-to-one sessions. In these personalized sessions, we will work together according to your interests and needs, using a variety of tools and techniques drawn from four complementary approaches to Voice:
The Four Lineages of Voice Work
Voice Embodiment and Somatic Exploration
Through somatic exploration and gentle touch, we will help you embody your voice more fully, cultivating a deeper connection to your physicality and your sound. This approach enhances awareness and creates a space for your voice to flow freely.
Estill Voice Technique
With a focus on functional anatomy, we explore the breathing and vocal systems in detail. Using exercises from the Estill Voice Technique, you will gain insight into the anatomy of voice production, allowing you to develop a finer awareness of different vocal qualities and improve vocal technique.
Collaborative Vocal Improvisation (CVI)
This is the work to awaken and develop the creative, expressive aspect of your Voice. We will explore techniques for percussive-melodic vocal improvisation, generating music in real-time, creating a dynamic space for free vocal expression and spontaneous music making.
Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
Using the IFS model, we explore the inner world of your Voice, uncovering what may be behind blockages or specific internal resistances around your sense of freedom and alignment in the music experience. This inclusive approach allows us to identify and honour the various parts of yourself that may influence your vocal expression, allowing for a deeper understanding of your voice’s emotional landscape.
The Goal: Empowerment and Self-Discovery
The ultimate aim of our work together is to help you become independent in your exploration of the embodied voice. By the end of the sessions, you will have the tools and confidence to continue your voice practice on your own, deepening your connection with your unique vocal expression.
